Screen size in PowerPoint
A presentation is most often used on a projector, but sometimes you want to print it on paper. A normal slide in PowerPoint is not adapted to an A4 print. If your starting point is printing, start by setting the correct size.
Under the Layout menu you will on the far right side find the menu Slide Size. The two default choices you have is screen size 4: 3 and 16: 9. This is the older screen size for projector / TV and newer widescreen display size.
If you proceed to Custom slide size, you can choose the size you want. In my example, I would then choose screen size A4. With the Custom option you can actually set the size just the size you want.
The advantage of setting the screen size before writing a word is that PowerPoint adapts to the screen size you choose and images and text will look correct. If you do this in retrospect, you risk that images are drawn in one direction and that the text does not fit.
